This Privacy Policy describes how KADENA WALLET LLC (the "Company," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with kadenawallet.io (the "Site") and the Kadena Wallet desktop application (the "Wallet"). We have designed both the Site and the Wallet for privacy by default: no third-party analytics, no email marketing capture, no advertising tracking, minimal data retention.

1. Who we are

KADENA WALLET LLC, a Florida limited liability company, registered office at 7752 NW 72nd Avenue, Medley, FL 33166, USA. For contact information see the Contact page.

2. Information we collect on the Site

Standard server logs. Our web server retains standard access logs (IP address, user-agent string, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP response code) for operational and security purposes. Logs are retained for a limited period (typically 30 days) and then deleted unless required for ongoing security investigation.

Contact form submissions. When you submit the Contact form, we receive the information you provide (name, email, message). We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add submissions to a marketing list. We retain submissions for as long as necessary to respond and for a reasonable period after for record-keeping.

No third-party analytics at launch. We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any other third-party web analytics service. We do not load tracking pixels from third parties. We do not load third-party scripts beyond strict-functional necessities (e.g., a price feed for the Kadena price display).

No advertising trackers. We do not run advertising on the Site and we do not include advertising trackers from any network.

No social-media trackers. We do not embed third-party social-media buttons that load tracking code.

Cookies. The Site uses only strictly-necessary cookies (session management, theme preference) by default. We do not use marketing or analytics cookies at launch. If we add features in future that require additional cookies, we will update this policy and present a consent mechanism where required.

3. Information we collect via the Wallet (desktop application)

Local data. The Wallet stores your wallet data (encrypted private keys, transaction history, address book, settings) locally on your device. We do not have access to this data and we do not transmit it to our servers.

Network requests. The Wallet communicates with Kadena chain RPC nodes to read blockchain data and broadcast transactions. By default, the Wallet uses public Kadena Chainweb RPC nodes; you can configure custom RPC endpoints if you prefer. RPC providers may log standard network metadata (IP address, request type) per their own policies.

Optional update checks. The Wallet may check for software updates by querying our update server. If you disable update checks in settings, no update check requests are sent. Update check requests do not include personal information beyond standard server-log metadata (IP address, current Wallet version).

No telemetry by default. We do not collect usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioral data from the Wallet by default. If we add optional telemetry in future, it will be opt-in with clear disclosure.

No address-tracking by us. We do not track which Kadena addresses you control. We do not track your transactions. The Kadena chain itself is a public blockchain, so addresses and transactions are publicly visible on-chain regardless; this is a property of public blockchains, not something we choose to add or remove.

4. How we use information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and the Wallet
  • To respond to your inquiries submitted via the Contact form or email
  • To detect and prevent abuse of the Site and the Wallet's update infrastructure
  • To comply with legal obligations where applicable

We do not use information for advertising, marketing personalization, or behavioral targeting.

5. How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With service providers who help us operate the Site and the Wallet (e.g., hosting providers, content delivery networks). These providers process information only on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality.
  • When required by law, regulation, valid legal process, or governmental request.
  • To protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of users.
  • In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, asset sale) — though this is hypothetical and we do not currently anticipate any such transaction.

6. Data retention

Server logs: typically 30 days for operational purposes; longer if required for security investigation.

Contact form submissions: as long as necessary to respond, plus reasonable record-keeping period.

Local Wallet data: as long as you maintain the Wallet on your device. You can delete the Wallet and all local data at any time by uninstalling the application.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Right to access information we hold about you
  • Right to request correction of inaccurate information
  • Right to request deletion (subject to legal exceptions)
  • Right to object to certain processing
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

To exercise these rights, contact us via the Contact page. We respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically 30 days under GDPR; 45 days under CCPA, with possible extensions).

8. International users

The Site and the Wallet are operated from the United States. If you access the Site or the Wallet from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States. By using the Site or the Wallet, you consent to such transfer.

For users in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with cross-border-transfer requirements: we rely on standard contractual clauses or other appropriate mechanisms where required.

9. Children

The Site and the Wallet are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where the higher age applies). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page for a reasonable period. Your continued use of the Site or the Wallet after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
