How Kadena Wallet compares

Kadena Wallet is one of several self-custody options for KDA holders. eckoWALLET is the most-used browser extension. Koala Wallet is the leading mobile option. Chainweaver was the official Foundation wallet (now archived). Zelcore and Enkrypt support Kadena as part of larger multi-chain offerings.

What's new in Kadena

The site's news section tracks current developments — exchange status changes, mining-pool updates, Chainweb-EVM testnet progress, and other changes that affect KDA holders.

Community-led infrastructure operations stable through Q1 2026

Kadena chain operations have continued without interruption six months after the Kadena LLC dissolution. Mining hashrate has remained within historical ranges; major DeFi protocols continue to operate.

Frequently asked questions

Is Kadena Wallet free?
Yes. The wallet is free to download and use. Network gas fees apply per the Kadena protocol; the wallet itself charges no subscription, transaction, or recovery fee.
Does Kadena Wallet support all 20 Kadena chains?
Yes. Kadena Wallet provides native support for the full 20-chain Chainweb architecture, including a visual navigator that shows balances across chains and handles cross-chain transfers without manual chain-routing.
Who builds Kadena Wallet?
Kadena Wallet is built by KADENA WALLET LLC, a Florida-based product company (formed December 2, 2025). The team focuses exclusively on this single product: a self-custody desktop wallet for KDA holders.
Can I import my Chainweaver, eckoWALLET, or Koala Wallet seed phrase?
Yes. Kadena Wallet supports three import formats: standard 12-word BIP39 (used by eckoWALLET and most modern wallets), Koala's 24-word format, and Chainweaver's custom derivation. You do not need to convert phrases manually. See the Chainweaver migration guide for step-by-step instructions.
Does Kadena Wallet support Ledger?
Yes. Ledger hardware wallets pair with Kadena Wallet via the Ledger Kadena app and a WebHID connection. Setup takes about five minutes.
